About Me

Hi, I’m Angela Belleville, a trauma therapist and founder of Bella Health. For over 20 years, I’ve worked alongside individuals navigating the impact of trauma, chronic stress, and painful past experiences—many of whom haven’t felt fully understood or helped in other settings. Much of my work centers around trauma rooted in early life, including childhood abuse or neglect, attachment trauma, religious trauma, and body-based experiences that are hard to put into words. I use EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Exposure Therapy, and CBT to support people in moving through symptoms like flashbacks, anxiety, avoidance, and emotional numbness—always in a way that feels collaborative and grounded in safety. Before founding Bella Health, I spent years in community mental health, psychiatric inpatient units, and day treatment programs, eventually stepping into leadership as Director of Clinical Consultation at a large behavioral health agency. There, I led trauma-focused and 3rd wave CBT initiatives and trained other therapists to respond effectively and compassionately to high-risk, high-acuity situations. I continue to provide training, consultation, and clinical supervision, partnering with organizations such as HAWC, NASW, LightWork Therapy, Firefly Health, Boston College, and others to support trauma-informed and evidence-based practice across settings. Whether you’re newly exploring therapy or returning after past experiences that didn’t quite fit, my approach is thoughtful, evidence-based, collaborative and always centered around your unique needs and goals. Healing takes courage. I feel honored to support individuals through this process.
