About Me

Angela has over 15 years of experience in mental health counseling. She offers services ranging from individual therapy to skills training and coaching, group therapy, family therapy, parenting education, and life coaching. Angela also provides Supervision for LPC Interns pursuing full licensure in Texas. Angela considers herself an integrative and holistic practitioner with a solid foundation in a person-centered approach to mental wellness. Although intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), she has received training in a wide variety of treatment approaches, including Existentialism, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Angela's population is primarily adolescents and adults with diagnoses ranging from depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders to post-traumatic stress disorder, postpartum depression, addictions, and personality disorders. Her experiences are vast, as she has provided services in multiple settings including detention centers, residential facilities, and in private practice since 2011. Angela is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Counseling, which affords her the opportunity to engage in research and implementation of cutting-edge treatment approaches.
