Angie Hernandez Harris
Education & Experience
I was raised in a bicultural and bilingual home and I am first generation on my father's side, so we grew up going back and forth to Mexico yearly. I have a BA in Spanish and BS in Psychology from the University of Idaho and spent time traveling to Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, visiting Scotland and Ireland. I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling from Boise State University in 2012. That same year, I completed my EMDR Level I and II training. I have been blessed to have Katie O'Shea as a mentor and guide, in my practice since 2012! Currently, I work for a community health care clinic (and love it!) and specialize in the treatment of sexual abuse. Combined with my play therapy background, I work with children as young as 2 years of age. I'm also the clinical supervisor for the School-Based Therapist Program of Terry Reilly Health Services, which provides mental health services to students in schools throughout the Treasure Valley.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I serve on the Advisory Board for Boise State University Counselor Education Program and provide live supervision for the practicum level graduate students. I also enjoy volunteering for the refugee community when my schedule allows.
