About Me

Anne K. Eckman is a Certified EMDR clinician, along with being a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and a certified perinatal mental health professional (PMH-C). Anne specializes in supporting adults to address and resolve the impact of traumatic experiences, past and present, including sexual abuse and assault, intimate partner violence, and difficult reproductive experiences; she also supports people experiencing anxiety, grief and loss, and life transitions. Anne draws on her advanced training in integrative, trauma-focused modalities -- along with her warm, gentle presence -- to support clients to nurture their mind-body connection to better resolve the impacts of traumatic experiences and foster sustained well-being. Anne holds a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from University of Chicago and is licensed in Maryland, DC and Virginia and is a Board Approved Supervisor in the state of Maryland. She has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, both as a direct service provider as well as providing trainings, supervision, and consultation to individuals and organizations.
