Education & Experience

Annie Sousa holds a Master of Arts in Counseling with a Child and Adolescent Specialization from Northwestern University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University. She is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland and Washington, D.C., with extensive training in trauma-informed care, including TF-CBT and EMDR therapy. With over a decade of experience in counseling, education, and advocacy, Annie has worked with diverse populations, including neurodivergent individuals, children, adolescents, and families. Her professional journey includes roles in telehealth, private practice, and behavior analysis, where she has provided compassionate, evidence-based support to help clients overcome challenges, foster resilience, and achieve personal growth. Annie's unique blend of clinical expertise and cultural sensitivity ensures an inclusive and effective therapeutic experience for every client.
