About Me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Christian Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Sex Therapist, Approved EMDR Therapist, Gottman Level 3 Therapist, and a Qualified Clinical Supervisor. I am licensed in Florida, Wisconsin, New York, and New Jersey. I have a thriving group private practice in Cape Coral and Sarasota called Cape Coral Therapists, where I specialize in intimacy, relationships, spiritual counseling, sex therapy, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, sexual dysfunctions, sexual offender provider, and ESA documentation. In addition, I supervise 15+ clinicians in helping them have their own private practice. Furthermore, I offer couples intimacy retreats through my business called “Vacation Counseling”, I provide a free podcast called “Bringing Intimacy Back”, and I have released seven eBooks on “Improving Intimacy” and they are available on Amazon Kindle and Audible. Lastly I have created a Personal Intimacy and Partner Intimacy Assessments and resources to help individuals and couples with all aspects of intimacy. Thus, I am known as the Doctor of Intimacy. Overall, since 1998 I have helped and empowered over 12,000 individuals/couples reach their goals of gaining insight, developing personal and relationship skills, overcoming struggles, and becoming more intimately connected with themselves, with their Higher Power, and in their relationships.

Education & Experience

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Finance from Florida State University in 1994. I went on to earn her Master of Science in Counseling from Florida State University in 1998. In 1998, I also achieved a Specialist of Education in Counseling from Florida State University. Finally in 2014, I received my Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. Then in 2019 I went to MODERN SEX THERAPY INSTITUTES West Palm Beach, Florida and became a Certified Sex Therapist I also have taken up to Level 3 in Gottman and numerous course in EMDR I am also a Sexual Offender Treatment Provider for Florida. I have worked in community, educational, and private practice settings. I have had my own private practice since 2005 and now we have two locations in Florida.
