About Me
Healing can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m a licensed psychologist and the founder of The Gratitude Center, a therapy space rooted in compassion, growth, and strength. I earned my Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) from Nova Southeastern University, where I focused on evidence-based trauma care and culturally responsive therapy. I specialize in supporting women, veterans, and individuals navigating PTSD, trauma, life transitions, and identity-related stress. As a bilingual Cuban-American and military spouse, I understand the unique challenges of military life, cultural identity, and constant adaptation. I am PsyPACT credentialed and provide virtual therapy services to clients in multiple states. Whether you’re seeking EMDR, CBT, or simply a calm and supportive space to exhale, I’m here to walk alongside you—at your pace. Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and personalized. My therapy animals, including a very sweet Aussie doodle named Belladonna, may also be part of your healing experience. For clients seeking flexible payment options, I partner with Thrizer to help you use out-of-network benefits with ease—without the hassle of superbills. Let’s begin the next step of your healing journey—together.
Education & Experience
I earned my Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) from Nova Southeastern University, where I focused on trauma-informed, evidence-based care. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center, with rotations in general mental health, Women’s Clinic, and PTSD clinic. I then completed a post-doctoral residency specializing in PTSD across the lifespan, further honing my skills in trauma recovery. Since completion of my residency I have continued to work in the field of PTSD. I am EMDRIA-certified in EMDR and trained in several evidence-based trauma therapies, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Written Exposure Therapy (WET). My training allows me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, while maintaining a strong foundation in research-supported approaches.
