Aurora Sidney-Ando, LPC
About Me
I work with teens and adults, emphasizing the goodness in people, common needs, and rational problem-solving. My psychotherapeutic approach incorporates cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies, attachment theories, and expressive arts.
Education & Experience
I earned a masters degree in counseling and a Ph.D. in humanistic and transpersonal psychology. I am EMDR certified and speak English and Spanish. I work with complex and developmental trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, the transition to adulthood, cross-cultural issues, and the creative arts. I particularly love working with clients who are open to expressive art therapy via videoconferencing.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am on the board of directors for the International Child Art Foundation in DC. https://www.icaf.org/
