About Me
I am a board certified, licensed clinical psychotherapist and I completed my graduate studies and clinical training at Northwestern University. I specialize in women's mental health and I primarily treat anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered body image and eating, and reproductive mental health concerns with integrative and science-backed therapies. I support clients throughout life transitions, identity exploration, trauma healing and processing, self-esteem issues, perfectionism, motherhood, stressful circumstances, and relationship difficulties. Prior to founding Women's Mental Health Group, I provided psychotherapy in a variety of mental health care settings including outpatient practices, behavioral clinics, intensive outpatient centers, and hospitalization programs.
Education & Experience
My therapeutic approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and results-driven. I address both the current symptoms and root causes of presenting challenges and patterns to holistically improve the emotional wellbeing of the clients I work with. I emphasize the mind-body connection and incorporate mindfulness and somatic techniques into my work with clients.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
In addition to my other specialties, I am EMDR-trained and utilize this evidence-based modality regularly to help clients identify, heal, and improve root level patterns and issues. I also have a clinical expertise in reproductive and maternal mental health. As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International, I am extensively trained to provide supportive psychotherapy to clients throughout their pre-conception, prenatal, postpartum, early parenthood, and family building stages of life. The motherhood and parenthood journey is complex and I am passionate about utilizing and integrating research-backed therapies to holistically and effectively help clients who are experiencing perinatal mood & anxiety disorders (PMADs) or other emotional difficulties related to infertility, artificial reproductive technology usage, third party reproduction usage, pregnancy loss, pregnancy experiences, perinatal or birth trauma, postpartum challenges, infant attachment issues, and early motherhood identity shifts (matrescence). I welcome any clients from the LGBTQIA+ community who are navigating reproductive journeys. I also provide emotionally-focused therapy to couples during their family-building and parenting stages of life.
