Dr. Bobby Jakucs, Psy.D.

About Me

Dr. Bobby Jakucs is a licensed psychologist with expertise in trauma recovery, moral injury, and meaning-centered care. I specialize in working with individuals navigating PTSD, identity challenges, and major life transitions—particularly those from military, first responder, or helping professional backgrounds. My approach blends evidence-based treatments such as EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and CBT for insomnia with insights from Logotherapy—a meaning-centered framework rooted in the work of Viktor Frankl that emphasizes freedom, responsibility, and purpose, even in the face of suffering. I believe that healing involves more than symptom reduction—it’s about reconnecting with what matters most. My work supports clients in processing difficult experiences, reclaiming agency, and moving toward a life of intention and integrity. In addition to my private work, I have extensive experience providing trauma-focused care to Veterans through a federal healthcare setting. I strive to create a collaborative, respectful space where each client can explore their story, values, and path forward.
