About Me

I am a psychologist who recognizes the importance of finding different ways to connect with clients. I understand that therapy can be hard and that clients need a therapist who can guide them on their journey in a way that promotes understanding, respect, and safety. I have a passion for the arts and believe that deep healing can be facilitated by using the arts in a therapeutic way. In 2019, I established Innovative Group Psychotherapy, Inc (IGP). IGP helps clients learn how to express and cope with challenging emotions through creativity in order to promote healing and growth.

Education & Experience

I have over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I received my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) at the California School of Professional Psychology, and my Masters in Social Work (M.S.W.) from Syracuse University. I specialize in psychological testing, in addition to individual and group treatment. Having worked in community mental health for most of my professional career, I am a trauma-informed therapist who has extensive experience and respect for working within a strengths based approach with diverse populations. I have found integrating EMDR into my practice a life changing experience. I utilize EMDR in individual work as well as within a group setting.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA), and Child Nexus
