About Me
Hi there! I’m Briana, and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. (LMFT #130324) I am glad you're here. I’m a lover of animals, nature, and long walks to the bookstore. If I'm not out walking my dog or listening to every podcast ever created, I'm spending time with loved ones. Therapy sessions with me consist of laughs, tears, healing, a sprinkle of sarcasm, and overflowing amounts of compassion. I believe we are the way we are because of what we have been through in our past. I help those I work with to process past trauma (big T and little t), and recognize how it continues to manifest in their daily life through unhelpful coping mechanisms of protection. (Ex: Pushing others away, fear of intimacy, people pleasing, or feeling unworthy of love.) I will challenge you (softly) to start living your life through love, and help you to put fear to the side. Individuals and couples who identify as straight, gay, lesbian, bi, queer, trans, non-binary, poly, and kink, find a safe space in my office to explore their personal and relational issues. Let's write your next chapter together.
Education & Experience
I am trained in EMDR, and am also passionate about the many benefits of incorporating nature and animals into therapy. I incorporate horses into my psychotherapy practice, and have my certification in Equine-Assisted Mental Health from the University of Denver.
