Briana Mills, LMFT

About Me
I am a physically disabled therapist that specializes in disability, chronic illness, and LGBTQ. I have muscular dystrophy and am a wheelchair user so I'm very familiar with ableism and how it shows up within the mental health field. I also specialize in medical trauma.
Education & Experience
I graduated with my M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge in 2019. I got trained in EMDR in May of 2021. I received my traineeship hours at a school working with kids ages 11-18. I received my associate hours working strictly telehealth for very low income individuals who were in high need ranging from 12-60. I also worked with couples and families there as well.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I have volunteered to speak at the National Sexual Assault conference in 2018 speaking about creating a group treatment plan for teenage girls who have been sexually abused. I also volunteer for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, as I have muscular dystrophy and this association means a lot to me personally. I'm also a member of CAMFT.
