About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated in 2018 with a Master’s in Social Work. I specialize in using trauma-informed approaches to treat PTSD and complex trauma, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, attachment disorders, and grief and loss. I also have a passion for working with individuals struggling with religious trauma, faith transitions, and questions of gender and sexuality. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and use a strengths-based perspective to help clients build self-compassion and feel empowered to overcome their personal challenges and meet therapeutic goals. In my free time, I enjoy trail running out in the beautiful Wasatch front, training for road races, and spending time with my adorable German shepherd.
Education & Experience
I Graduated with a Bachelor's in Human Development in 2015 and a Master's in Social Work in 2018. Prior to becoming a full-time outpatient therapist, I spent three years working with neurodiverse adolescents in the Spark Academy, part of the Heritage Community, a residential treatment center for youth. Prior to Heritage, I spent a year working as an intern working with Primary Children's Hospital in a residential and day treatment center for troubled youth, after working for a summer as a mental health intern with the women at the Utah State Prison. I am trained in EMDR and am days away from full EMDRIA certification. I also have clinical training in trauma-focused CBT, IFS, CPT, DBT, MI, Art therapy, and the ARC trauma framework.
