About Me
Hi, I'm Carolyn! I'm so glad you've chosen to consider the life-changing step of pursuing EMDR therapy. A little about me: I love cats, cooking as long as I don’t have to clean up, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the Great British Baking Show, and real estate reality shows. In my free time, I love to be outside, hiking, running, skiing, or biking – embracing joyful movement for movement’s sake. I’m a foodie and I am actively anti-diet. I used to be a Latin and Greek teacher, which makes me just a tiny bit of a language nerd. I’m a mom of three girls, and a survivor of birth trauma and postpartum depression. I am passionate about working with women who are survivors of sexual trauma and who want to be able to live a peaceful and connected life in its aftermath. I also care deeply about working with women through all stages of the parenting journey – fertility, pregnancy, pregnancy loss, birth, and postpartum. I’ve struggled with all of those stages and I want you to know that there is hope. I'm passionate about EMDR. I think it’s time for the field of therapy to move beyond just talk; to get out of the brain and into the whole body, where trauma actually lives.
