About Me
Developing a healthy balance with all of the complexities of life and navigating change is rarely easy. If you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, and afraid, you are not alone. It takes courage to recognize when things are not working and to ask for help. I hope to help you in your journey to feeling whole and connected by providing authenticity, compassion, patience, and respect in working through adversity and unhappiness. I have been working as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 2012, following a diverse professional background as a paralegal, mortgage bond underwriter, career counselor, and yoga teacher. I love learning, and have a variety of higher education experiences. The 2008 financial crisis facilitated my return to graduate school at California State University, Fresno for Marriage and Family Therapy and academic counseling. I am specialty trained in complex trauma, as an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant, as well as a certified Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder Professional (PMH-C), working with a diverse range of cultures, genders, and ages. While growing up, I devoted more than 10 years to ballet, which fueled my artistic nature, love of movement, and discipline. I then transitioned my love of movement and expression into yoga, becoming a practitioner and yoga teacher since 2007, as an E-RYT 200 and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider. I weave creativity, attunement, and somatic awareness from these practices into my approach as an LMFT. In my free time, I love spending quality time with my husband, photography, travel, reading, being in nature, and listening to podcasts.
