Online Therapy

About Me

When we arrive in the therapy room, whether it is virtual or in person, I bring a warm, authentic and collaborative approach. In my fourteen years of practicing psychotherapy, I have found myself specializing in the teens, 20’s and 30’s population, which is a critical time for navigating career and relational goals while laying the foundation for adult life. I am passionate about supporting growth through depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationships, diverse identities and really, any of the curveballs life brings us. I am committed to providing culturally responsive care and have a strong background in working with people of color and those with second generation and multicultural identities. As a Puerto Rican-American with many of my own cultural experiences, my mission is to decolonize therapy in my practice and do my best to reduce systemic harm.

Education & Experience

My other passion is to provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) treatment to the community. I have been practicing this treatment for the last four years and have seen what a powerful positive effect it has on symptoms of trauma, anxiety, upsetting events, phobias and OCD. I also incorporate my other modalities such as ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), which is a newer form of CBT, and expressive arts therapy for an eclectic blend of treatments tailored to meet each individual’s needs.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I’ve worked with clients in both English and Spanish in a wide array of settings, such as a women’s detention center, schools, homes, treatment and drop-in centers and public mental health clinics. I am strongly influenced by my work in the community as an organizer as well, as I wholeheartedly believe that mental health is inextricably tied to community. I look forward to bringing my diverse experiences and expertise to my work with you to inspire transformation and growth. Self-liberation is within reach for all of us.
