About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I work with people who want to live happier and healthier lives and who feel like things are out of sorts. Many and most people have experienced this, and they don’t know where to begin. I provide a supportive and warm environment for clients to overcome barriers to moving forward, and I work to help them find balance. I know from working with people of all ages and backgrounds that a supportive relationship can be a healing component when on a challenging journey. I have always had a passion for working with children and parents. In 2001, I began working with children with autism using Applied Behavioral Analysis in school and home settings. After completing my master’s degree, I transitioned to a residential treatment center where I worked for 8 years with children, adolescents, and their families providing individual and family therapy. I had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients with varying diagnoses. I became a mother myself during that stage of my career, which has helped deepen my understanding of children. Being a parent myself, has made me a better therapist.
