About Me

Crystal Zelman (she/her) is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S) and a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS). Crystal combines her experience, training, intuition, & client goals to create a tailored approach for each individual, working collaboratively with clients to lead and guide their work together. Crystal utilizes a variety of playful healing modalities in her work, such as play therapy, therapeutic art, sandtray, EMDR, pet therapy, and/or traditional talk therapy. She has extensive experience supporting children & adults coping with their own (or a family member's) medical diagnosis/illness, who are grieving the loss of a loved one, and individuals experiencing anxiety. Crystal has a passion for supporting children and adults in their journeys through grief, offering a safe space for all the feelings that accompany loss.

Education & Experience

Crystal Graduated with her MSW in 2007. She completed EMDR basic training in December of 2022. Crystal is EMDR trained in working with both children & adults, and completed over 50 CEU hours of play therapy-EMDR specific training post basic training. Crystal has a passion for working with both children & young adults who are working through grief and/or medical/illness experiences.
