About Me

Hi, I'm Dana. I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been practicing for 9 years. I am yonsei (4th generation) Japanese American, queer, disabled, cis, and a mom of both a human child and two dogs. I love working with clients to help them build a healthier relationship with themselves and heal from past trauma. I predominately practice EMDR and incorporate parts work as a blended approach to helping clients heal and work through past wounds. I love working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA, poly/kink, disabled/crip communities, as well as people navigating peri-natal issues. I value and firmly believe therapy should be a space that feels safe and somewhere you can be seen as a whole person, with all the different identities that make you who you are. In therapy, my approach is a collaboration and I invite my clients to bring in their whole selves. I also do not claim to be an expert on everything, and encourage my clients to bring in their own expertise from their lived experiences into session. My approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and relational.

Education & Experience

I received my MSW from University of Southern California in 2017. I completed EMDR basic training in 2022 and am currently pursuing additional training in parts work (aka: Internal Family Systems), somatic interventions, EMDR for Substance Use, and disassociation.
