Education & Experience
I hold a Ph.D. in Complementary Integrative Health with a concentration in Transpersonal Psychology. My dissertation was a qualitative research study examining EMDR therapy and the lived experience of trauma resolution from clients’ perspectives. I also earned a Master’s degree in Existential-Phenomenological Therapeutic Psychology, which informs my client-centered, meaning-oriented approach to clinical work. In addition to EMDR therapy, I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ego state therapy interventions, polyvagal-informed strategies, and mindfulness-based coping skills to support nervous system regulation, stabilization, and integration. I hold a post-master’s certificate in the treatment of eating disorders from John F. Kennedy University. With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, my background includes individual psychotherapy, clinical supervision, training, consultation, and program development. I am currently in private practice in Oakland, California.
