About Me
I help clients connect to their motivation and experience growth and change in their lives. Through a gentle and thoughtful approach, I guide clients through EMDR Therapy and provide education along the way. Clients leave sessions feeling calmer, grounded, and ready to make changes in their lives. In addition to providing treatment for clients, I plan continuing education retreats for mental health providers in serene settings.
Education & Experience
I have been providing therapeutic and educational services since 2006. After receiving my Bachelors of Science in Cognitive Science, Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of California, San Diego, I completed my doctorate in Marital and Family Therapy at Alliant International University, San Diego. I have treated eating disorders, depression, anxiety and PTSD at all levels of care including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient facilities, and currently in my private practice. In addition to providing therapeutic services I have been an adjunct professor at University of California, San Diego, Alliant International University and San Diego State University.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am a clinical member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp) and recognized as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Consultant (CEDS-C) and an Approved EMDR Consultant and Facilitator by EMDRIA. I volunteer to help organize the San Diego Regional EMDR Networking Meeting.
