About Me

Diana Koenen, is a board certified LMFT from Menifee, Canyon Lake and Lake Elsinore, California, who works with adults of all ages and provides care for patients who struggle with anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD, depression and others issues they may be dealing with.
Diana has extensive experience with CBT and EMDR and has been a board certified Licensed Marriage Family Therapist for 25 years.
Diana’s treatment approach is rooted in evidence based practices rooted in somatic experience and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Diana studied at Pepperdine University, where she obtained a Master’s in Clinical Psychology.
She also worked for Riverside County Behavioral Health for 27 years and has been in private practice for 5 years where she established treatment techniques to help her clients reduce panic attacks, overwhelming anxiety, or excessive worry about the future as well as create success in their relationships. This has been a crucial part of her practice and her patients' success and progress.
Diana’s, main goals for her patients include reducing symptoms of anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD and depression, improving overall well-being, and promoting personal growth and resilience. Diana believes that in her practice, her patients can change the behaviors that have not been helping them and feel liberated from their past. Diana has a unique view and experience with EMDR that will help with resolving past behaviors that no longer serve you.

Education & Experience

I discovered my love for the field of mental health care 30 years ago. I have since practiced in a variety of settings to provide outpatient therapy and crisis management to individuals of all ages and from all different walks of life. Along the way, I earned my B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton and my Master’s from Pepperdine University.
