Preferred Name: Dr, Dominique
About Me
I’m Dr. Dominique Leveille. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. I provide outpatient therapy services in the South Miami area and teletherapy throughout the state of Florida. As a first-generation American raised by Haitian parents, I deeply understand the complexities that arise when cultural values, generational expectations, and identity intersect. These experiences shape my therapeutic approach and allow me to support clients navigating multicultural dynamics, family conflict, and identity-related stress with compassion and clarity. I am fluent in Haitian Creole and value culturally responsive care. My clinical work is rooted in the belief that differences are strengths, not deficits. Whether you are navigating family transitions, parenting challenges, relationship stress, or identity exploration, my goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and supported as you work toward meaningful change.
Education & Experience
I earned my Doctorate in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2019. I have nearly 8 years of experience as an Outpatient Therapist and over 14 years of experience as an educator, which has strongly informed my work with children, adolescents, and families. My background in education has allowed me to effectively advocate for children, particularly those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Through direct experience within the school system, I assist parents in navigating complex educational processes, including Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored academic supports. I work collaboratively with families to ensure children receive plans that honor their unique strengths and developmental needs, while also helping parents adjust to milestones specific to their family journey. I also provide affirming support to the LGBTQ+ community, particularly individuals and families from closed or traditional cultural systems, helping clients navigate identity, acceptance, and relational healing.
