About Me
Eleni Sexton, MS, LCSW provides trauma-informed care, consultation, supervision, and training through her private practice in Reno, NV. She is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant with a focus on the treatment of complex trauma and dissociative disorders. Before moving to private practice she worked in community mental health providing trauma-informed wrap-around care to members of diverse populations including (but not limited to) people experiencing homelessness and serious mental illness, people living with HIV/AIDS, and members of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities. Eleni provides psychotherapy in English and Spanish. As a trainer Eleni has provided training for licensed clinicians and interns, employees of the Nevada Department of Corrections, and members of the Nevada Bar Association on the topics of trauma-informed care and vicarious trauma. In all her work, Eleni utilizes an integrative, science-based approach that includes a wide array of treatment lenses and modalities, including neuroscience, attachment theory, structural dissociation, ego state therapy, guided imagery, and the expressive arts.
