About Me
I am a therapist of Mexican descent, first generation, and work in private practice. Im currently working part-time and enjoy helping others find compassion for themselves, identify their strengths,and work through their challenges throughout the counseling process.
Education & Experience
I attended undegraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and after completing course work and a practicum, I received my B.A. in Applied Psychology. I attended The Chicago School of Professional Psychology for graduate studies and received by M.A. in Forensic Psychology and training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Counseling. Post graduate, I received training in the following: Child/Adult Sexual Abuse Counseling, Domestic Violence Counseling, Partner Abuse Intervention Program, Eye Momement and Desensitization Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Maternal Mental Health. Throughout my work in the community, I have worked with clients as early as 4 years old and up to older adulthood, who have been struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment, trauma, complex trauma, and grief.
