About Me

Highly experienced licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years in the field. EMDRIA-certified therapist specializing in trauma-informed therapy. Committed to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and those in relationship-expansive dynamics. Delivering culturally sensitive therapy to adults facing a range of challenges, including post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, grief and loss, occupational and interpersonal stress, and life transitions, and empowering clients to overcome obstacles and achieve meaningful change.

Education & Experience

Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 2005. Completed an internship at the Syracuse Veterans Affairs Medical Center, with specialized training in treating post-traumatic stress disorder, behavioral health psychology, and marital and couples therapy. In 2007, completed a two-year forensic postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester’s School of Medicine and Dentistry. Additionally, in 2017, obtained a Post-Doctoral Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology (MSCP) from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

Previously served as an adjunct professor in the graduate programs of Addictions and Forensic Psychology at Purdue Global University. For over a decade, served as an editorial reviewer for the International Journal of Military Medicine. Active member of the American Psychological Association (APA). Participated in large-scale research initiatives sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Published journal articles on various topics, including enhancing resilience in deployment settings, the relationship between trauma and substance use, biofeedback-assisted relaxation, and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health services.
