About Me
I am a somatically integrative psychotherapist, dually licensed in both psychotherapy and therapeutic bodywork. My work is informed by the polyvagal theory, attachment theory and the latest research on trauma and the body. I have been a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner since 2013, with advanced training and 40+ years of experience in numerous bodywork systems. I practiced oncology massage and educated other therapists during my 17 years as a Senior Massage Therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. I integrate and teach the use of touch modalities when appropriate with Somatic Experiencing to help in healing trauma and chronic traumatic stress. As a former professional jazz musician and vocalist, I welcome clients who want to explore their own possibilities for creativity.
