Education & Experience

I have two master degrees in nursing from New York University (with a concentration in education) and Columbia University (with a concentration in psychiatry). I have eight training certificates in therapeutic modalities including a 4 year certificate in psychoanalysis, addiction treatment, and the reprocessing of traumatic events. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I have over 30 years of combined inpatient, emergency room and outpatient psychiatric nursing experience. I also have a medical background as a licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have published papers in trauma and addiction and was invited to participate as an expert trauma nurse in establishing trauma competencies for nursing education.
