Elizabeth Moffitt, LPC

(She/Her)
Preferred Name: Elizabeth

EMDR Certified Therapist

EMDR Consultant-in-Training

About Me

As an HSP counselor herself, Elizabeth specializes in working with individuals (13 years & up) and couples. She works with a male life coach in each session; using a team approach, we believe two heads are better than one and there is more support for our clients. We also found that having a male & female perspective is helpful and healing. We work with people who have been through trauma(s) & abuse, grief & loss, difficult or disturbing life circumstances, low self-esteem, & anxiety disorders. The care team uses evidence-based approaches (EMDR, DBT, CBT, & EFT) incorporating clay art therapy, equine (horse)-assisted, & traditional office therapies. We believe the tangible helps create substantial healing as it promotes more processing during sessions. We value collaborative & creative approaches to our therapeutic work and strive for professional excellence. We prioritize client relationships in order to provide specialized care. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all.

Education & Experience

Elizabeth was a graduate ‘with distinction’ in her academically rigorous Master’s counseling program. She graduated from a Christian university where she learned how to integrate the Christian faith with evidence-based counseling approaches in an ethical manner. She works with people from ALL backgrounds, including religious and non-religious belief systems. She is a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) and has voluntarily met high national standards for counseling and subscribed to the highest ethical and practice standards available.
