About Me
Having navigated a nontraditional career path, Elizabeth brings to her practice years of work-life experience and a clinical background in hospital, community mental health, and residential treatment settings. Her clinical experience includes working with couples and individuals who feel anxious and depressed, confused, stuck, or easily overwhelmed by the demands of daily living. She assists clients in the midst of emotional crises find ways to cope with difficult emotions, major life transitions, work-related and personal problems. She uses complimentary healing modalities in her practice and is an advocate for self-healing.
Education & Experience
Elizabeth earned her B.Ph. in Psychology from Northwestern University and her MSW from Aurora University. She is licensed by the States of Illinois and Wisconsin as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and is an Illinois Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Trained in EMDR, and EFT, Elizabeth uses a wholistic, experiential approach with an attachment focus for most conditions. She customizes her interventions to meet the specific needs of each individual/couple and helps them develop meaningful relationships and rebuild stronger bonds with themselves and others. Anxiety, depression, complex trauma, mood disorders, marriage and relationship betrayals, LGBTQ/gender identity/affirmation, ADHD, addictions, eating disorders and dual diagnoses represent some of the reasons for which her clients have sought therapy.
