About Me

Having navigated a nontraditional career path, Elizabeth brings to her practice years of work-life experience in addition to her clinical background in hospital, community mental health, and residential treatment settings. Her clinical experience includes working with couples, emerging adults, adults, and LGBTQ clients who struggle with relationship problems, anxiety, depression, ADHD, addictions, eating disorders, and dual diagnoses.

Education & Experience

Elizabeth Vogt, MSW, LCSW, CADC earned her B.Ph. in Psychology from Northwestern University and her Master of Social Work from Aurora University. She is licensed by the States of Illinois and Wisconsin as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and is an Illinois Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Her clinical experience includes and is not limited to working with couples and individuals who experience severe mental illness, complex trauma, marriage and relationship betrayals and disconnections, gender identity, gender affirmation, major life transitions, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, addictions, and eating disorders. Trained in emotionally focused therapy, Elizabeth uses a wholistic approach to therapy and an emotionally focused experiential model with an attachment focus for most conditions. She customizes her interventions to meet the specific needs of each individual or couple and helps them develop meaningful relationships with themselves and others.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

Ms. Vogt is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). She uses complimentary healing modalities in her practice and is an advocate for self healing. Elizabeth offers individual and couples therapy sessions and accepts most commercial insurance.
