About Me

Dr. Elsa Ferris is a licensed psychologist with over 7 years of experience specializing in child, adolescent, and family care. After graduating from the University of La Verne, Dr. Ferris received training in Parent Child Interaction Therapy and Functional Family Therapy, which focuses on increasing the quality of relationships between children and teenagers and their parents. Dr. Ferris furthered her skills in bringing families together during her Post Doctoral year at Kaiser Permanente, where she facilitated individual and group treatment while providing comprehensive mental healthcare alongside medical professionals. Today, Dr. Ferris seeks to heal so that every individual can transform into their ideal selves. In doing so, Dr. Ferris treats adults, couples, families, teenagers, and children. Dr. Ferris has also completed training in EMDR to better provide patients with efficient and effective trauma treatment. Other areas that Dr. Ferris has training in include Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Dr. Ferris has utilized her training to lead therapy groups on various topics, which have included Parenting Skills, Parenting Today’s Teen, Children’s Worry Group, and Teens’ Depression and Anxiety Group. In individual treatment, Dr. Ferris continues to treat those who struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, anger, and grief.
