About Me
I began my internship in December 2012, working in an outpatient setting helping people with mental health disorders, including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, anger, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. I became fully licensed in October 2015, and continued working in that setting until February 2019, when I began working as an independent provider. I have experience with individuals of all ages, couples, and families; however, I have narrowed my focus to working individually with adults who have experienced trauma. I provide telehealth services only. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an eight-phase psychotherapy approach that helps people recover from trauma without having to talk at length about the traumatic experience(s).
Education & Experience
I earned by undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, at the University of Texas - Austin in 1992. Later on, I went back to school, and I graduated with my masters in professional counseling on December 2012, from Liberty University.
