About Me

We all deserve to feel comfortable in our own skin and connected to the people around us. I work with adults who are feeling stuck and ready to dig deeper into the root cause of what’s influencing the present. Sometimes these stuck points show up in the form of intrusive memories, anxiety, panic, self-criticism, anger - or a deep seated feeling there is something inherently wrong with who we are. Many clients I work with grew up in homes where connection with the important adults in their life was obscured at times by struggles with substance use, conflict, lack of presence, or lack of understanding. Or they’ve experienced ruptures or trauma in relationships as an adult that have left a lasting impact. I specialize in treating PTSD/complex trauma, panic, anxiety, and stress-related disorders. My primary therapeutic tools are EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness based practices. Together, we’ll discover the origin of negative core beliefs and where they were learned. Using a holistic approach tailored to you, we can reprocess distressing memories and negative beliefs holding you back from living your fullest life. I'm a big fan of helping clients understand the neuroscience and biology of trauma to increase understanding and self-compassion. My past clinical experiences include community mental health, intensive outpatient alcohol and drug treatment, running psychoeducational groups, and crisis management. As a therapist, I am flexible, creative and warm. Collaboration and trust with my clients is important to me above all else, and I strive to create a space where you can feel safe and open. Additionally, I believe in looking at healing holistically and helping you connect to resources outside of the therapy space.
