About Me

Erica is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Riverside, California. She is a trauma informed provider. She had read and studied techniques from books written by Peter Levine, Somatic Experiencing, IFS (Internal Family Systems), Bessel Van Der Kolkand (Body Keeps The Score) and NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model). Erica tailors therapy treatment plans based on the client’s needs and ability. Every form of therapy has its place, and the best fit for any type of therapy depends on the client. She approaches healing from trauma with education, coping tools and at the pace of the clients. Erica has a person-centered approach, with intentional sessions directed towards the client’s goals for therapy. She has years of experiences with developmental, and complex trauma. Erica has extensive experience in working with foster youth, complex trauma, the homeless population, addictions, and the reentry population. Erica believes everyone should have a safe and healing space to process through life's difficulties. Erica tries to help bring families and couples closer together through therapeutic work and help to have fulfilling relationships. Erica loves working with children, teens, families, individuals and couples. She enjoys using play therapy techniques and utilization of art therapy techniques as well in the therapeutic space. When Erica is not in session, she is reading psychology books. In 2023 she read 80 books in six months; her goal for 2024 is to double the number of books she read in 2023. For self-care she is traveling to new places and enjoying time with loved ones.
