About Me
Hi! My name is Erika and I work with individuals, teens, adults, families, and couples.I customize my treatment approaches for each client and walk with clients through the therapeutic journey together. Clients can expect a judgment-free space, unconditional positive regard, and an opportunity to be fully seen and heard each session. I am fully licensed in the state of Georgia to practice professional counseling and am also licensed to practice in the state of Florida via telehealth.
Education & Experience
I am a licensed professional counselor and received both my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and Clinical Mental Health from the University of West Georgia. I completed my practicum and internship at Willowbrooke at Tanner and has worked in a variety of treatment settings, including private practice, inpatient, outpatient, and community agencies, and court-mandated settings such as DUI and Veteran Treatment Courts. I currently utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and SAFE EMDR (Somatic & Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) as primary interventions and conceptualize clients through a person-centered lens. I specialize in working with clients with trauma, anxiety, depression, mood and attachment disorders, personality disorders, addictions, and PTSD.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am affiliated and currently serve on the board of my community's Rotaract Club, which is an extension of Rotary Club for younger members. I also volunteer at a monthly severe mental health support group as a member and mentor for families ho caretake for those with serve mental health diagnoses.
