Erin Carlisle, M.Ed., LPC

About Me

I am a person centered therapist, in that I believe the therapeutic relationship must be the foundation to the work we do together. I believe that this therapeutic relationship drives the counseling process. I also have extensive training in trauma-based modalities, and mindfulness. I incorporate a variety of techniques and activities into each session, including EMDR when appropriate. I believe in you, and that if given a safe space, encouragement, and time, that you will feel better and become the best version of yourself. My clients can expect to be treated with respect and dignity, and that I will come to each session prepared. My hope is that my clients leave each session feeling hopeful, encouraged, and empowered.

Education & Experience

I have over 9 years of counseling experience, and have worked with adolescents to adults, who are struggling with a host of issues and come from all walks of life. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, I hold a master’s degree in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Prior to becoming a counselor, I taught and coached middle and high school students, and have over 20 years of experience working in the education field. I am also a registered yoga teacher (RYT200) ___ University of Tulsa- Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science, 2003 and Dallas Baptist University - Master of Education in School Counseling & Professional Counseling, 2016
