About Me

Erin’s goal is to create an environment where folks feel comfortable working through their stuff, on their terms, and in their own time. She positions herself as a collaborator, rather than an authority on your life. She is passionate about and committed to cultural humility and LGBTQ+ affirmation. If you happen to be curious about her theory, she considers herself an Existentialist, heavily influenced by Intersectional Feminism, Ecological Systems, Attachment, Accompaniment, and Humanistic principles. She enthusiastically welcomes further conversation to go into detail about what this means and how this affects her practice. In addition to her work, Erin is an amateur yet enthusiastic outdoorsy type, live music fan and budding vinyl collector, lover of all animals, traveler, and is considering becoming an art history buff. She is currently reclaiming her love of reading after the labor of love that is grad school.

Education & Experience

Erin graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and an EMDR therapist. Erin has worked in both private practice and community agency settings, which provided the privilege of collaborating with diverse clients navigating a wide range of unique challenges across the lifespan. She has received specialized training in trauma-focused techniques including EMDR and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), suicide intervention and prevention, sexual exploitation, play and expressive arts therapy, and telehealth ethics. Her clinical interests lie in the etiology of and recovery from traumatic experiences.
