About Me
I primarily work with adults who've experienced trauma, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. I collaborate with clients to create a therapy experience that honors the strengths they already possess while bringing a non-judgmental focus on the problems they face. I incorporate dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) informed skills, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), polyvagal theory, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help clients process stressful experiences, reconnect with their values, and cultivate lives worth sharing. Therapy is a safe space to test our assumptions about ourselves and the world. I aim to empower clients to learn about their nervous symptoms, improve their quality of life, and feel comfortable in their own skin.
Education & Experience
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida. As a Forward-Facing Professional Resiliency Coach and Consultant, trained by Dr. J. Eric Gentry, I integrate evidence-based practices that foster healing, resilience, and personal growth. I am also trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My clinical experience includes working in community mental health settings with high-risk and diverse populations, focusing on adolescent suicidality, substance use disorders, and group therapy.
