Mrs. Gayle Beth Kaminsky Hillyard, LMFT
About Me
I have a diverse background working with adult, teens, children, families and couples. My experience extends within private practice, treatment centers, school, clinic and hospital settings. I consider myself a life long student. I regularly take trainings to enhance my clinical skills. I use an individualized approach. Sessions focus on teaching you about mental health, normal human response, understanding triggers, behaviors and symptoms. You will gain coping strategies and learn how to utilize them. When you’re ready, we can process thoughts, feelings and memories. I understand the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment, that is judgement free. I individualize treatment by attending to the unique needs of each person I work with. I am trained in Attachment Focused EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. These techniques are designed to help you build resources through repairing things that were lacking in your developmental history.
Education & Experience
I received my Master's degree and my Advanced Certificate from Hofstra University. I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, grief and loss, and relationship issues. I have years of training under master specialists in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, CBT, Gestault and Psychodrama.
