Education & Experience

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC (Canada). I was educated in the UK and graduated with honors with a bachelor’s in Psychology (University of Sussex). I went on to gain my Masters in Psychotherapy (University of Middlesex). I am a member of the British Psychological Society and an affiliate of the National Centre for Eating Disorders in London where I acquired my Master Practitioner qualifications in Eating Disorders. I completed my addiction counselling diploma with the Asian Pacific Board. I also completed training and became certified in Trauma Releasing Exercises, a somatic based therapy that compliments trauma therapy. I have 20 years of experience working in therapeutic fields. I began my career in 2003 working with people who were unhoused and then moved into different area's including substance use, mood disorders, trauma, bereavement and eating disorders. My work experience is in both the public and private sector, in 1:1 and group settings. I started my career in public health in the UK, moved on to the private sector in Asia, before settling here in Canada, where I continue to work in public health and the private sector.
