About Me
Hillary specializes in working with individuals and families who have experienced or are navigating trauma. Hillary has extensive training in treating PTSD and attachment trauma with clients ages 2+, as well as other common co-occurring symptoms including anxiety, depression, dissociation and dissociative disorders, and other behavioral and personality disorders. Hillary utilizes a person-centered, solution-focused approach to empower her clients to harness what has happened and experience the fullness of healing. Hillary is an EMDR Consultant in Training, TF-CBT certified, a TBRI® Practitioner, and DBT trained.
Education & Experience
Hillary Owen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in Florida, Alabama, and Texas. Hillary received her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Advertising from Southern Methodist University and her Masters in Social Work with a specialty in direct practice with children and families from University of Texas at Arlington. Hillary has dedicated her career to serving children, adolescents, and families since 2005. Hillary completed her clinical practicum at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, providing evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment to victims of child abuse and neglect and their caregivers. Most recently, Hillary served as the Clinical Program Manager at New Friends New Life, supervising a team of therapists and overseeing all counseling and case management services for women and children who have been sexually exploited or trafficked.
