About Me
My journey with EMDR began when I experienced its transformative power as a young adult. The profound healing I underwent while addressing my own trauma inspired me to pursue EMDR therapy professionally. Witnessing the positive changes in my own life, I felt compelled to offer the same opportunities for healing to others.
Education & Experience
Originally, I embarked on a career as an attorney, driven by a desire to assist those entangled in the criminal justice system. However, I soon realized that my true calling lay in the realm of mental health. The first few years of my career were spent working in correctional facilities, where I gained invaluable experience and insight into the complexities of human behavior and trauma. Inspired by the majestic Montana mountain range that has been a constant anchor in my life, I founded Spanish Peaks Mental Health. This practice symbolizes my commitment to providing grounded and compassionate care. Through Spanish Peaks Mental Health, I offer telehealth services to adults in Montana, Colorado, and Nevada. I am particularly passionate about working with individuals who have suffered attachment wounds and those who may have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder or Complex PTSD. I also incorporate DBT into my practice and offer individual skills training.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am a member of the National Board of Forensic Examiners and am a Certified Forensic Mental Health Examiner.
