About Me

Hope Choman, LCSW is a therapist offering online therapy for adults in New York and Connecticut. She supports clients navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression with a collaborative, relational, and compassionate approach. Hope creates a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to explore your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable. Her work is grounded in EMDR therapy, and may also include supportive approaches such as mindfulness, somatic work, ACT, relational therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Together, you’ll explore what has been difficult, strengthen your ability to cope, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.

Education & Experience

Fordham University-MSW Marist College-BPS Before opening her private practice, Hope Choman, LCSW worked in both a community mental health center and in hospital-based settings, including oncology and palliative care. Supporting individuals and families through mental health challenges, chronic illness, grief, end-of-life experiences, and uncertainty deepened her understanding of how trauma, anxiety, and depression can shape the way people experience themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. These experiences continue to inform the compassionate, grounded, and integrative approach she brings to therapy today.
