About Me
Sometimes we’re tested. Not to show our weaknesses, but to discover our strengths” -Unknown I am a Registered Psychotherapist; but I am also a retired volunteer firefighter and Advanced EMT. I am a trauma-informed therapist, as well as a trained EMDR Clinician. My experience provides a unique perspective, as there is an awareness and lived experience of the stressors first responders are faced with on a regular basis. Areas of speciality include: PTSD, Dissociation, Anxiety, Depression, Vicarious Trauma, and Burnout. My practice is currently available online. My core philosophy is a supportive environment that fosters the development of trust, consistency and collaboration as part of the therapeutic relationship. I believe in compassion and warmth. I practice from the following person centered approaches: EMDR Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy as well as Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Holistic Approaches.
Education & Experience
Undergraduate Degree: Honours B.A. Child Studies and Sociology from Brock University - St. Catharines, On. Graduate Degreee: Master of Arts - Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University - Fredricton N.B. In addition to my private practice, I work at a community mental health agency that specializes in supporting survivors of sexual violence.

I am a member in good standing with Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association I hold the designation of Canadian Certified Counsellor, which permits me to work with clients across Canada I am a Member in good standing with EMDR Canada I serve as a volunteer Mental Health Professional with Badge of Life Canada Peer Support Program
