Dr. Jaimie Orndorff, Psy.D.
(She/Her)
About Me
I truly believe in the ability to heal from previous events and move forward without the burden of mental health struggle. In my experience in the mental health field over the last 20 years I devoted myself to gaining experience in a range of settings and populations from children to geriatrics. My clinical experience has allowed me to develop a flexible style that allows the client to engage fully in their treatment, feel safe in the therapeutic relationship and remain motivated when therapy gets tough. I specialize in the treatment of trauma and stress related disorders; however, I am able to help clients reach their goals in many other areas that are not trauma related. While completing my trauma treatment and assessment focused pre-doctoral internship I was trained in many techniques as well as Trauma Focused CBT, Positive Parenting Program (PPP) and Prolonged Exposure. While continuing to gain experience in trauma related treatment I was trained in EMDR and recognized that being EMDRIA certified would allow me to continue my training and upon finishing that certification by EMDRIA is pursued Level 1 training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Today I focus on helping clients in their trauma related treatment with the most prevalent symptoms; which are usually the re-experiencing of the trauma and the dysfunction occurring emotionally, physically and relationally.
