Mr. James David Reynolds, LPC

About Me

Before retiring from police service, I re-entered school and completed my masters degree for counseling. Right after graduation, I am glad the Counseling Department brought EMDR training to campus. After I received my LPC-I, I interned at a very good private Veterans clinic in Dallas and EMDR proved to be a very good offering for combat trauma. After receiving my full license, I opened my private practice for First Responders. I was also hired for another Veterans program at the Local Mental Health Authority in Abilene where I continue to practice EMDR therapy with Veterans, and I offer EMDR to First Responders at my private practice in Baird. I’m glad to be able to continue to serve and to offer this powerful trauma therapy that really helped helped me much during my police career. My wife and I enjoy being able to live on the family farm where I grew up in rural Callahan County. Our two Sons and our Granddaughter and Grandson get to come enjoy the farm where I get to teach them to fish and drive a tractor as generations of my family taught me at this same place!
