About Me
My approach to therapy is structured with warmth and validation. I believe therapy should be a balance of feeling challenged, but also safe and understood. I am EMDR-trained and use this and CBT to assist adults heal from long-standing childhood trauma/neglect or recent traumatic incidents.
Education & Experience
I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. In my career I've worked with adolescents at Brazos County and Harris County Juvenile Detention Centers and undergraduate students at Sam Houston State. For several years I was the primary therapist for children, adolescents and their families at a community mental health center. I have additional experience as a counselor for a mobile crisis team and a case manager for those with severe mental illnesses.
