About Me

I was introduced to EMDR Therapy in 1995 by a colleague and trained by Dr. Francine Shapiro and Dr. Andrew Leeds soon thereafter. I believe that my experience in working with a variety of individuals, most of whom had co-occurring disorders, gave me a very strong foundation in the AIP model. This is the foundation of EMDR Therapy, from which all protocols have been developed. I believe it is easy to lose sight of that with the multitude of protocols promoted now. I have continued my education through EMDRIA and now practice with co-occurring disorders, dissociative disorders and have added ego state work for Phase 2 and when necessary throughout treatment.
