About Me
If you're an adult hoping to achieve a more balanced and comfortable existence, a parent who needs help with a troubled adolescent, or a teenager seeking a professional counselor who will not only to listen to you but actually hear you, I hope you’ll let me be the one to provide you with what you need. I have been a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse (LCADC) counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for many years. After working with substance abusers in various treatment settings, I have worked with adolescents with emotional distress and other issues for over twenty-five years. As the Student Assistance Coordinator at Voorhees High School in Lebanon, NJ. for fourteen years, I provided individual and group counseling, crisis counseling and community education etc. I worked with kids with anxiety, depression, family issues, identity and orientation issues, adjustment issues, and trauma. I ran a variety of special-focus support groups as well And suicide prevention was always a priority of course. Since 2020 have been seeing teens and adults in the teletherapy setting. I miss the in-person connections one can make in the office, but it is my sincere goal to make every remote session meaningful and productive; there is no time to waste where mental health is concerned! I am a ‘trauma informed’ therapist, meaning that I look for and work with traumatic events in a person’s life which are causing them distress in the present. I am trained in and use EMDR therapy which is a highly effective post-trauma technique. And EMDR 2.0 now! (If you’re interested, look at EMDR.com), and it works well in the virtual setting. So, whether you're an adult or a teen, I hope you will consider me for your counseling needs. I will be glad to discuss scheduling and pricing when I hear from you…and I hope I do.
